alternate winter transportation - the rail lines

Cougan has long since learned that the chickens often get kitchen treats - and that if he meets me at the coop, they will let him share a bit of their treasure.
This weekend I went out with treats for everyone (snow makes them look/act SOOoooo pitiful!) and went to the coop first. Cougan stood at the barn door yoweling for a bit, then decided to come to the coop - snow or no snow!
So - how does a clever cat get from the barn to the coop without getting his feet cold and wet?
