Hi everyone.

I found a product that may be a much better alternative (maybe not) but check out the Woodgrain fiber cement siding. It is water resistent, comes in many sizes, I just saw it for $7.24 for a 12 foot board 8 14 inches wide.

COuld be a very good alternative.

I priced out trex a 12 foot 6 inch board at the same place was on sale for $28.97.

Happy planter building.

Siding is usually pretty thin stuff, after all, it's designed to function as an outer sheath fastened to a supporting wall. And cement-based siding can be brittle. It MIGHT work for a very low raised raised bed if it were supported at short intervals.
