I'd like to get some started for my bees and hummers. I have Mortgage lifter and purple Cherokee tomato seed as well as echinacea and lemongrass shoots for trade (the tea type of lemon grass)

Is this the one you're looking for? It grows wild around here. If no one else has any on hand, I can surely get you some when it goes to seed here soon.

I have TONS of Butterfly Weed seed right now off of my plants if you want it.
I'd love some. I guess it needs a cool period in the refrigerator before I plant it; at least according to what I find on line. It used to grow wild in Oklahoma.

You don't need a cool period for the one I will send you, its "Tropical Milkweed", but I guess it wouldn't hurt, since I get a bit cooler here in Ramona than you.

PM me your address and I'll get some seeds out to you..

I just finished reading about that one. It sounds like a better plant for San Diegos climate. I wasn't sure I'd have a cool enough Winter for the normal butterfly weed to have a good bloom. The problem with all of the milkweeds is you have to make a tough choice - whether or not to let monarch caterpillars eat them.
