@so lucky butchering old hens is not that bad. They have had a good life with you, had good care, treats and goodies. When they no longer lay well, it is time to move them out and make room for a young pullet. Since I don't run an old hens's home, they go in the stew pot. When I butcher the several old hens I have, next week, I'll do a tutorial on it with pics.
