Monday evening we had a couple of guests over for a browse. The baby is standing in the new bed that needs to be worked up for planting this season. Mama is in the trees on the upper right. I hope this doesn't mean they like us. :p

Such grotesque, improportional cuteness! A Baby Moose! A Mooselet! Or a Mosling (following same gramatical logic as 'Gosling') :p

Thanks for sharing that! It's so cute!

Something to eat when you get your plants in.

My thoughts exactly Don. Usually they hang around from fall to early spring, then disappear around summertime.
Even if they didn't eat the garden, just walking through it with those big ol' feet would cause some damage.

Our dog is smart enough to know that he'd be toe jam if he interfered, so he tucks himself away in his dog run and keeps his mouth shut.

They are awfully cute... but, I remember toppled tomato plants from a deer walking through the garden. Lets hope they find greener pastures by planting time! That is a smart dog you have there!

I remember the first time I ever seen a baby moose. I was camping in the Colorado Rockies. I was walking back to camp from the lake to get more bait and I stopped because I seen the baby. I stood there for a few minutes and the it dawned on me "where's mommy?" Turned out I was standing between them. I have never been as scared as I was in that moment. Lol
