I am so glad I tried beets this year. They taste great and are doing well, they are lovely in the garden, I'm going to try some this fall in the greenhouse.

They look really good!! Mine did very well this year, too. Are you just going to eat them, or do have plans for pickling, etc?? What are the lovely golden ones?

lesa The golden ones are called Golden Beets. They are from Lake Valley Seed. I can tell you that they are yummy. I'm hoping to pickle some but after tasting them roasted mmmmm :drool .Maybe I'll just plan on pickling the next planting!

yay!! I am so glad to hear they do well here! I ordered a variety from park seed and they arrived. I will have to see if i have time this year or to hold on to them till spring

Hey Mrs E :D

I am going to try a fall plating. I picked up some seeds this Spring for really cheap at the Dollar General. If they don't grow I am only out 20, so why not?
