I saw a goldfinch pair yesterday! I need to get my feeders back out. We have such pretty birds in the summer. The swallows are back, and making a racket!!

I have some mating pairs of different birds that come back every year - cardinal, blue jay, wren, swallow, mourning dove and hummingbirds!
The humming bird chicks are soooo tiny when they start flying around my garden, but super cute.

I like the mouring doves, but they, like the blue jays, are very noisy!

Beautiful!! I saw my first grosbeak last week

These days, we have lots of bluebirds, brown-headed cowbirds, goldfinches, grosbeaks and indigo buntings. Ahhh--love those spring birds!

Ugh I lived in AZ for a while and the mourning doves there dont shut up all day....so now even hearing them once or twice a day up here in MN raises my hackles....

I had what I thought was a catbird hanging out at a feeder last summer. I don't remember what it's call sounded like, tho. Sounds like I'd remember it if I did!

I would love to hear the mourning doves all day!! I LOVE the sound they make...guess it triggers a childhood memory or something I remember as being pleasant.....
