We're looking for a good book on how to prune our trees and whatnot... you guys have any suggestions?

The American Horticultural Society Pruning and Training by Christopher Brickell and David Joyce. It has photographic illustrations as well as sketches, and it covers trees, including fruit trees, and shrubs, vines ornamentals and soft fruits ( berries etc. ).

Amazon has it. Mine is the '96 edition, but I see it's been updated in 2011. It's a really good reference, and it covers so much in just one book.

We seen that! I was just asking so I could see what everyones opinions were. It seemed like a pretty solid book!

Yeah, it's a good one. There are a lot of pruning books out there, but I think this one holds it's own. It's a pretty comprehensive reference in one volume. I refer to it a lot.
I think you'd be happy with it :)

Sunset has a great soft cover Pruning Handbook. It's easy to understand and well illustrated.
