Bring Plants Indoors

I have used Gnatrol for years. It is also used by professional greenhouse growers for gnat control. A quarter teaspoon per gallon is what I use and I use it each time I water. I will not tolerate gnats! Also, letting the surface dry between watering will help with gnats, they like moist surfaces to deposit their eggs.

I use coir to start my daylily seedlings. I just ordered the Gnatrol. Coir seems to increase the gnat issue but, the germination rate with it is so superior that I continue to use it. I have used BT before but perhaps it was too old as I did not have success. (Seems that it what Gnatrol is)
Thanks Jack. Your advice is always great.

I see that Gnatrol contains 3 times the Bt-israelensis as the mosquito dunks.

That strain of Bt is evidently what is needed for gnats and mosquitoes. There are several strains.

Planet Natural also has a lower Bt gnat killer in a ground corncob base:

Then, they've got this really cool Venus Flytrap ...
