I love this bush.
Mine is just starting to bloom! :rainbow-sun
I captured a few shots before the first flower opens.
If you look close it looks like a mouth were it will open soon.

Here is a baby I made from a cutting.

I am only familiar with Buddleia.

This one is new to me. Very interesting, in the pictures it looks huge! How big are those blooms?

I like it! It doesn't look like we are seeing it in its glory yet.

Ron

I want to see more...this one must be frost tender.

Buddleja x weyeriana - Butterfly bush (aka Buddleia in US)

It is just getting started! The fence is about 8' tall.

You can see below there is a White Bird of Paradise and a Travelers Palm that was nice and big last year. Then we got 4 freak hard freezes and I lost a few and the ones left are struggling to make a comeback.

But the Butterfly Bush did fine!

Wow, those are cool blooms! I have never seen one close-up. So they don't open up wide like a traditional flower? They look so soft and fuzzy :love

That is open as they get. The branch will be covered with flowers.
I just had to catch the first few. I can't wait for the whole bush to bloom.
