City boy here whats snaping beans?
Snapping beans is breaking off the stem and blossom ends, then snapping the beans to what ever length you want them. Breaking them, in other words...

The blonde on the left is now married with a little girl of her own. The one on the right still lives at home so she got to enjoy snapping beans again this year

I did bush beans 1x and I got nothing but grief from the woodchucks who would eat the blossoms off. Figured I'd be all smart and have them all come in at once, yep didn't get a single bean that year. I did pole beans the following year and got a great crop of them. You could tell where the critters could no longer reach because I didn't get a single blossom down there. Above that they were loaded.

My teepees usually ended up tipping over at some point but I put them back up and they kept going. Mind you the weather wasn't that bad though.

My plan was to build panels out of pressure treated 2x2s or even 2x4s and build an A frame. I had planned on using rebar or conduit, something to act like a stake attached to each leg of the frame stabilizing the whole A frame. If I could get 6" into the ground at a good angle I should be fine. The flat sides would be next to one another held together with a bolt/nut and washers to separate them so when the time came it would all fold up flat onto itself and be put away for the winter.

I figure its worth a shot. If it doesn't work I'll salvage the wire and the wood will be used for something.
