Do any of you know how long it takes for caster bean seed to germinate. We have had some planted in peat cups for at least 3 weeks in a warm location and no sign of germination. Thanks

A friend gave me some castor beans and told me to soak them about 24 hours before planting them. I did and they swelled up about to burst with water.
Ithen planted them and it was just a few days it seems until they sprouted-but realistically, it was more like 14 days. Somewhere between 10-14 day and I had little bean sprouts. The plants are now almost 3ft tall and I was given the seeds around the end of May I think it was.

Since you didn't get to soak them they might take a little longer-and you probably should be watering them often. Don't give up on them though-I hear their really tough buggers.
Good Luck!
