those are common roadside plants here. we've grown some in a garden and the goldfinches love them. beautiful coloring to those.

they can get pretty big.

chickaree i didn't know was an alternate name for a red squirrel. learn something new every day.

did you find out how they got in? sometimes it's just a door left a bit open...
