I learned a new word this morning: nyctophile. Someone who  loves the night is a nyctophile. I think that I will try to forget it.

By the first day of December, our sunset will come before 4pm. We will have less than 9 hours of daylight daily, this week. And, we are still a month from the Winter Solstice.

Saying that I am "a morning person" mostly means that I appreciate some quiet seclusion during the hours of darkness. Sunrise is now at 7am. If you have business between 7am and 11pm, you can be busy at sunrise. By 11pm, you will have been trying to function through 7 hours of outdoor darkness! Oy .

I am experiencing a sunny morning too, but I can't have coffee for 4 weeks. The surgery was on the 7th and O got home on the 14th. It was a mitral valve repair and not replacement, so I was happy about that. I am getting stronger and moving around more. I only need Tylenol now and hen for pain. I have to sleep in a recliner for now.

I will be doing whatever it takes to be back in action this spring. DD and kids have been coming and helping me in the mornings some. I can't lift more than 5-10 pounds. I opened the patio door to get some fresh air and I about could not get it shut without hurting myself. I am able to get on my computer, but I need my chair in a better position. I am not as sleepy as I was, so things are moving along.

Thank you all for all the well wishes and prayers!
