I just learned the process of making compost tea. I have some nice compost, so I am going to try it. My question is how long do I have to use up a batch? If it has microbes in it, I'd think there would be a limited time it could sit, but I may be wrong.

Also, any tips from people with experience making compost tea would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Since the tea should be aerobic, the shelf life is relatively short. It will go anearobic fairly quickly. Use it within a day of removing the aeration process.

I read that the beneficial bacteria begins to die as soon as you stop the aeration, so I would use it immediately. You might be able to keep the air going for a while, and keep it alive that way.
