Could someone please tell me what this berry bush is

This is a bush growing along my property line. My 2 and 4 year old boys keep telling me they are "apples" and they want to eat them. I tell them they are not apples and they will hurt them if they eat them. DOes anyone know what this could be? Thank you

it looks quite a lot like honeysuckle (probably Lonicera tatarica or japonica). If that's indeed what it is, I don't believe the berries are edible, though I also don't know exactly how bad for you they would be.
