Agree, words problems hard, algebra easy. Jared, your numbers are correct. You will have no problems except that to have 58 moves you have to use every inch. More than likely you won't use the 1' around garden or place the pen within 6" of last pen location but you have plenty of room.
ps, do I get a free chicken meal for agreeing with you and answering cat's question? Mongo likes fried chicken, or baked or soup or......................

I think it's a great idea. Many people build their tractors so that they have a coop off of the ground to house the birds at night. MY birds won't eat ANYTHING they don't like. They like tomatoes but not the vines and have never eaten any tomato vines I left in their turnout.
I have experimenting with weeds and grasses to feed my flock this year. This list isn't large, but the weeds and grasses are in abundance, and it's really helped my feed bill.
Just remember to put out grit free choice so that your birds can grind up their free food.

Sorry to confuse you Cat and thank you Seedcorn 
I was thinking of the processing date around the frost date and working backwards to figure out when to order chicks. Frost date is around 1st-2nd week of October. I can live with that.
Using Journey's math I'm subtracting 3 weeks for them in the brooder and then 6 weeks outside. So go 9 weeks back from the frost date and I'll know about when I hope to be picking up chicks at the post office. That puts me having chicks in early August. Ill be sure to talk to Murray McMurray to be sure about shipping if they have any suggestions etc. I was more worried I'd run out of space before they were ready to process but that doesn't look like it will be a problem.
I have DW's blessing in this project so long as the tractor is mostly in the garden. By Labor Day we've picked most of our tomatoes anyway. I don't grow many 90 day maters because its just too much of a gamble and we're putting up peaches and raspberries anyway. No way I'd want to add a big crop of tomatoes to that! I don't mind some but the goal is to be past the bulk of tomatoes by then.

Yeah sorry if I did this this year I'd be processing in Nov. Heck I've still got to prep the area for expansion for next year. Right now its 2 rows of tomatoes, and what was a row of cukes, zucs, and summer squash. Next spring I till up the area that I mentioned, plant, then order my birds. Ill get the tractor built this winter. I wanted to get it figured out now so I can order chicks when its time rather than be scrambling next year to see if its even a good idea.
