Went to TSC for feed and, well, I failed. Fiance probably wont be too happy, but then again, he's sick in bed for now.
All but one is straight run, so no idea if it will be a hen or roo. Hopefully, only one is a roo, rest girls, so I can keep them all!
Two Silkies, a red layer pullet, 3 Americauna, 1 Plymouth.

So cute! So cuddly! So makes me want some little ones!

(Hey, wake up, Red! <slap, slap>) So much work. So much feed. So hard to separate from the big girls. Sigh! While I am hoping for a few. . . a very few . . . one female chick or two this spring, I really want a surrogate hen to do all the tough work of raising them with the adult flock. DH would probably try committing me if I came home with those precious bundles.

Pics of the chicks & some of the flock.
I got 2 new Silkie pullets yesterday, the two in a rabbit cage. They are locked away because the guineas will beat them up. I need to get rid of the meanest one, might sell all 4 in the end.
The other chickens wont pester the new girls that much.

Nice chicks secuono! I'm sure you'll enjoy them. At least they have company with the other chicks. Its so temping when visiting TSC to bring home a few. Any ducklings? If they had other types of poultry chicks that sure would be interesting, maybe pheasant or turkey chicks.

I hope the chicks do well for you! :)

I know what you mean Secuono. I started this year with zero chickens and now have 26. Maybe tomorrow I'll post some cute hand pics. It will have to be the DW's hand though...mine aren't cute :/

They had Khaki ducklings, but wasn't prepared for ducks. They are filthy animals, need to be outdoors on wire just to keep the ducklings clean!
They had Pekin last week. I've rarely seen the more interesting chicks in, I think those are listed just to get people to preorder.

Nachoqtpie has a way with ducks, beautiful, cute and clean. She might have some ideas.
