Couple of Dog Questions

LOL to top of head, the ears needed to curve a certain way. The tips at top of ear was glued to head so they folded over.

I thought this "glue their ears" was just an expression. But now I see that it's not. The things I learn here.

Why do you have to glue their ears?

Yes, what kind of glue is used. I tend to become unglued regularly.

Surgical glue Trivia Krazy glue was invented during WW2 to close wounds on battle field. Ear set is very important on a show dog. You willn't believe what is done to some dogs. I had a sheepdog that had braces on his teeth.

Mary, if misplaced teeth are the only thing keeping a show quality dog from competition, braces make perfect sense. Like so many "hobbies", showing dogs is a big business and those trophies are worth $$$ in puppy and stud fees.

Ok Red, dumb question. Is it the vet that puts on the braces? I had no idea vets did that!

Mary doggy Dentist (vet) puts them on, then have to be adjusted every couple of weeks. Not nearly as expensive as childs braces. The sheepdog had a overbite, correct bite is very important.

......and it helps the dog's self esteem so much.
