I love them and they smell so sweet. I get tons of volunteers each year. But I am thinking maybe I should dispose of them since they are very poisonous and my dog is probably dumb enough to eat them. The bees go nuts for them too, staying out way past their bedtime to work them. I think they get goofy on the pollen. Enough of them would make poisonous honey too, I have heard.

Brugmansia is beautiful. I think I'm in the wrong place for it.

Angel's Trumpet is beautiful. It shows up in a few yards later in the season.

I'm a continent away from Jamestown ... so why is jimsonweed trying to creep into my garden on each of the last 3 or 4 years??

Richard, there is a delete button on the bottom of each original post for a thread. You are in control there. It only asks for a reason.

All parts of Datura are POISONOUS and it is an INVASIVE plant. The honey and polen from this plant is poisonous too. I kill this invasive plant in my pastures on sight whenever it shows up like every year. NO ands or buts about it. :smack
