Do roses like chicken manure?

Hi,
I have a couple of old rose bushes that I've been bringing life back into and the other day I spread some composted chicken manure around their bases then top dressed with compost.

After I did this I started to wonder if roses even LIKE chicken manure...? I hope I didn't do anything bad or burn them...

Anyone know about this?

Was it mixed with shavings or any bedding? Just chicken poop may burn them. It's usually best to let it compost for a while before adding it.

Edited to say: DUH. I just read that you did use composted poo. Well.... I think it will be fine, but I'm no rose expert, either. Maybe I should have kept my mouth shut. :/
