Well...I like dogs but don't love dog hair on my clothing. I think not liking dirt under your nails is probably okay. :)

How about taking a shower after a hard day's yard , garden, barn, coop work before one goes to dinner ? :caf

Okay, I know it's the teacher in me, but I do not like dirt. I clean it out everywhere it tries to settle . . . including under my nails.

I do have the deepest affection and consideration for soil. Playing in the soil and working to enrich my soil are my favorite things to do from early spring through late fall. The rest of the year I am dreaming of ways to get my hands -- and seeds -- in the soil earlier.

Dirt is soil where it is not wanted just as weeds are plants growing where they are not wanted.

See, that may not work well with getting your face in cold water (and blowing bubbles) after exercise, Mary!

Relieving stress in our modern, 21st century lives is important.

Warren Buffett probably does something like that after he cleans his chicken coop! I doubt if either Mr. Buffett or Bill Gates wear makeup for that task.
