Does anyone dry their cherry tomatoes with a food dehydrator? I did some today... what do you use them in? Going to do some big ones tomorrow.

Thanks for the idea... so you just throw them in whatever you want, do you need to rehydrate them?

I don't rehydrate them either. Just use as they are. I take the seeds out before I dehydrate them. I think it helps the flavor even more.

Scatter a few on a pizza as one of the toppings. We put some in pinto beans shortly before they are finished cooking. Or just put one in your mouth and wait for that burst of flavor.

Jen so pretty
I would put them in bread dough or pizza crust dried tomatoes in a good yeast dough with a bit of oregano and extra virgin olive oil

YUM!!

or you could marinate them in olive oil a little garlic and oregano and serve on an antipasto platter!

or just eat them as is :)

I picked up a dehydrator at a garage sale for 2 bucks. I was very excited, but it has no timer or temp control. I assumed it would take a long time and I kind of over did my first attempt at dried basil...How long does it take for the cherry tomatoes? We always end up with millions- drying them is a great idea. How do you store them, after drying? Thanks!
