Like many oldsters, we rely on our daughter for cell phone service. I used whatever phone she comes up with and hands me, about every other year. The current one is a Motorola Droid Max
I'm not much of a phone fan. Audio use is out or just an enormous hearing frustration. Texting with these digitS' is difficult although I'm better than a year ago. I use a stylus. (And use one on this 7" tablet; the 10" is big enuf for my digitS' but using a stylus isn't so bad ... on a larger 7" screen!)
Access to the internet is helpful when I'm out and about, at times. Still, I'm only using it while sitting in a waiting room or wherever, and using wireless. DD & DSIL nearly always overuse the mobile data and pay an extra $15. Millennials, they take it without comment but I'm not using mobile data for any more than text.
The phone is a cheap one, without many bells and whistles but ... how would I know? It's only because of DD's comments. She has an iPhone. I'm satisfied that mine does more than the slide but that Samsung was tiny (without the screen) and so easy to carry. No need to bother with a camera strapped to my belt, tho. If'n I'm inspired to take and share a picture.
Social connectivity! I enjoy having that easier-to-share image. Yes, the Droid Maxx does seem every bit as good or better than the snapshot camera. That's a plus.
