I was out having a cup of joe in the garden when I spotted these eggs.

I have tons of Ladybugs.
Here is a picture a few leaves away on my Butternut sq.

So I was thinking they just might be Ladybug eggs.

LOL,

Sorry, I have never looked at insect eggs with a critical eye. I can, however, identify a young ladybug prior to turning into a ladybug.

I am not a good bugologist LOL

Ron

... you know the more I look at those brown things, the more I am inclined to say that we really need a poopologist on this one!

to funny cuz i was thinking the same thing .. i googled images of ladybug eggs and they show the eggs as yellow kind of bright yellow ..
from this website i got:
http://www.backyardbird.com/ladybugs1.html
"When trying to identify ladybug eggs, look for tiny, yellow, oval-shaped eggs that are laid upright in small clusters of 10-50. "

but i dont know what eggs you spotted ..
i asked jives and got this website:
http://www.pbase.com/larena/bug_eggs_and_nests
helpful?

ok on a side note, ladybug children are kind of ugly and scary .. i didnt know they were not born as cute little red and black ladybugs ....
AND i found out what a praying mantis eggcase looks like OOOOOO i always wondered what those were ...
thanks injunjoe for starting my search and learning about bug eggs .. hahah
