Hi!
I received an elephant garlic bulb, and want to plant it to make MORE!! The problem is I'm in central Texas, and our day time temps are anywhere between 75-95 already, depending on the day.

Do you think I could plant it now and have any kind of success?

Maybe it needs to be planted in a bed that gets shade in the AM, and full sun in the late afternoon/evening?

I'm open to suggestions!! :)

I think you need to wait until fall.

I planted some 2 years ago, thought I accidentally killed them, and they are just popping up in the garden NOW! LOL

So maybe I am not your best source for good information on garlic growing :D

Hahaa!! Well, shoot... I think I'll just pop it into a bed and remember it's there. What have I got to lose? ... just a GIANT beautiful oh so delish head of garlic, right? :)
