Finally Opened Huge Egg (New Photos on Page 2)

It was a double yolker.
It is kind of hard to tell from the photo, but the egg measured about 1/2 a cup!

It about filled a 12 inch frying pan!

My egg customers get really excited about finding a double yolker. Wish they happened more often!

I've got an EE hen in Chicken ICU right now and my daughter and I came down to the basement to do a load of laundry, just in time to see her lay an egg (never saw it happen before!) She was so cute and clucky about it and acted very motherly--right up until it popped out, then she ignored it and went about her business like nothing ever happened. We felt rather privileged to see it happen though.
