Ducks, can you post a pic of the finished project for us? I love seeing such things in action.

We use welded wire fencing on the porch for all our vines...it's perfect for those little tendrils to grab and climb on. Never thought of framing it out to look more pleasing, but will definitely be doing that for my son's porch in town...will use the fencing for his vines also but will frame it and paint it to match his house so it will look custom made.

I WILL. But, DH is convinced I can find a wooden trellis much cheaper.
I'm going with whatEVER is the cheapest and easiest.
Might use my old fencing in my garden this year, but I would attach it to metal fence posts, which I have used a LOT in my vegetable beds over the years.
