Gottcha!! No I'm not eating sumac, but I will be trying that Sumac lemonade recipe.
Thank you FRESHFOOD for sending me 3 beautiful sumac plants, all the way from NY.
...you could have kept the poison ivy...just sayin' lol
There was a tiny 3 leaf wonder sprouting out of one of the dirt clumps.
I plan to plant them today!!! They all have wonderful full root systems(good job) so I'm sure they'll grow. I think they'll like my zone5 weather.
I'm still driving around looking at all the ditches EVERYWHERE and have scoped out 2 other plants I'm gonna dig(elderberries & cat tails)-but only one area of sumac and it was not conducive to digging. ugh!
My garden now has the new Tiger eyes mutation and your NY staghorn-YIPPEE!!!
