Friend killed In Todays Isis Massacre

Here is the Florida concealed carry law. It prohibits concealed carry even if you are licensed into a place that sells alcohol for consumption on the spot. That's in section 12(a)12 close to the bottom.

A ban on guns in bars has been pretty common, even in the days of Wyatt Earp.

Wow, didn't know that, but it makes sense I guess. Another soft target then. I worry about them hitting a Walmart or something, but that is probably less likely for that reason.

WV does allow...
West Virginia also does not have any known laws that prohibit carrying a concealed weapon in an establishment that serves and sells alcohol, although this may or may not include the bar area of a restaurant. Carrying a concealed weapon is permitted in state parks, national forests, WMA’s, and roadside rest areas in West Virginia.

Journey I was also thinking of much larger massacres. The US Cavalry would take out whole villages of Native Americans. I guess done by one person might be Sunday. No doubt if some of the people had guns death toll would be much lower. But I do agree alcohol and firearms are a bad mix

As those would have been considered government sanctioned massacres, I don't suppose they would be listed under "largest shooting massacre" in the United States. At the time they would have been considered warfare. It is through history's eyes that Massacre fits what was done there.

I remember reading something about a massacre by a bunch of Mormons of well over 100 people immigrating from Arkansas, Missouri and surrounding states. !n Utah back just after the civil war, I think. The Mormans tried to make it look like Indians did it. Reasoning is unclear. You can check Wiki. There are frightened bigots in every generation.

Quite a lot to it, it seems. Another story not in the history books.

Not wanting to speak too much, but my cousin was at school during a shooting that left one dead, how could stronger security have changed things.
