If you need a good laugh, here it is! My SLW hen that is 4 1/2 years old is still laying and she wants HER nest area! WHOO-HOO!!!!

Ride 'em cowboy!! (or would that be cowchicken?) :lol:

My hens all use the same two nests. They will wait outside the box, pacing, clucking and peeking in to see if the more dominate hen is done yet. If the more dominant hen is wanting to lay when another hen is in there, she will waltz right in and shove her over. But none sit on another bird to get it out of the way, lol.

Symetrical chicken stacking. That's way too advanced for my current skill set :p If it's a cowchicken, would it eat cowpeas?

More nests won't help, Marshall. The chickens all want the same nest, at the same time. I have three nest boxes, but they only use one of them. The girls stand in line sometimes. :/
