Gardening Weather?

There was a record warm day this week and if the low 60's f is good enough, there may be another.

Apparently this local warmth is not local, "Temperatures will be 15 to 25 degrees above average over the Upper Midwest..." That's from the National Weather Service. Colorado, New Mexico and Arizona are having a lot of warmth.

When our temperatures are 20 degrees above or below normal, records begin to be set. How are things locally for you? Is there anything in the garden? Anything coming out for the dinner table?

Nothing in the garden except a few sweet potatoes that it is too dry to dig for. We have had amazingly warm temps here, consistently, since a brief cool spell in late September, I think. It was 84 on Halloween. The plants thought it was spring. I picked fresh blackberries recently, and I have a bloom on my hydrangea.
It's dry though. No decent rain for weeks.
Frost this morning, first "killing" frost, I think.

Balkan cyclone brought us snow and freezing rain. I have not seen my garden, but I'm sure there grew a crop of icicles and snowdrifts. I loved to gnaw icicles as a child, of course. But now I do not think it's attractive. I love frozen and thawed apples. Probably leave in the cold somewhat.

according to the 15 day forecast we will be having low 60's during the day and low 40's during the night for the next 10 days then the night look like they are going to start dropping. keeping and eye out for this sat night they are calling for 30, hope not trying to let the kiwis stay on the vine as long as possible...

other wise here shortly will put up the low tunnels for the winter..

It's been nice but a lot of dew in the mornings. My zucs have slowed down but I'm still having some occasionally.

Just hauled in the last of the peppers a couple days ago. We had our first frost last night, just a light frost at 35 degrees. Last of the lima beans were picked yesterday too, some that were shelly stage, not dry. That's all there was left. Will be canning up more hot pepper butter, candied jalapenos, pickled peppers, and dehydrate most of the bells.
