from my niece and nephew when I told them to sit down Indian style so I didn't trip over their feet while they were watching TV. Did I miss something is that now an offensive term?

I hope not, but the elementary I work in says "Criss-cross applesauce" when they want them to sit with legs crossed!

The oh so correct folks insist on Native American but I knew a lot of Indians in Oklahoma and every one of them called themselves Indians whe not referring to themselves by tribe. Except for the Wanabees that is.

Yep... DD calls it criss cross applesauce now too.

Since I'm a yoga nut, I tell her to sit in Lotus position. lol

Which is actually more complicated, but she can do it! hahahaha
