Guinea Pig Litter?

I have two guinea pigs. I use aspen shavings in the bottom of their cage. So every week, I have a couple of gallons of aspen shavings mixed with guinea pigs poop.

Would this be appropriate for composting? Guinea pigs are strict herbivores.

I would not hesitate to compost it.
