I had the strangest dream.

I was discussing flooring and renovation of a building with someone. I said that the bamboo floor was put in not very long ago. The lady said, "that was about 2008."

I'm thinking that I must have seen bamboo floors by 2008 but it was still something very new at that time, at least, for our area.

She says, "that's what, 40 years ago?"

I'm startled into waking! How is it that she thought that was 40 years ago? Did all those years really pass between 2008 and 2021?

Here's a contradiction for you. 2008 seems like 4 decades ago yet at the same time these years have flown by.
