Helleborus

Smart Red - we call them Lenten rose around here. I love how plants have different names in different places! :) I have a few in pots that I got super cheap last year. I can't wait tip the house is built so I can get them in the ground. They are so pretty!

VFEM...I bet they are hauling it away! That would is worth $250 a cord out here. She should be able to get it cut for free!!!!!! Have her advertise on craigslist.

As for Helleborus, it's easy care and lovely. Not too sunny a spot. I find it thrives in part sun. You will love it!

No, I told them to cut it and leave everything.

That's a pretty one! I like the pinks and the dark reds the most.

I think you're wise to have a licensed, insured arborist take your tree out. It sounds like quite a monster.

Here a small one is over $20

Awww Sec, that's beautiful! Make sure she at least gets afternoon shade.

It gets some morning light, but then the house blocks the sun the rest of the day.
I just love the look of the flowers, they are so strange and interesting.

They'll be extra beautiful by morning light :)

Some Helleborus kind of hide their flowers among their leaves, some don't. This one looks like one that'll show her flowers.

It's supposed to snow, tonight and through Wednesday, possibly a total of 2ft. Should I bring in the plant so she doesn't get crushed and freeze in her little pot?

I'd put her here. Already moved all the rest of the bagged plants.
