help with identifying tree

thought o azalea but with those leaves i'm thinking it could be bay laurel. have you ever seen it flower? do the leaves ever roll up like an evergreen does? have it been dropping it's leaves in the winter time?

My bay laurel doesn't have chiseled leaves.

my sister's plants seem to have a wavy leaf edge the last time i saw them. i couldn't tell if the pic showed ripples or chiseling on the edges. i think it is was Hoodat posted.

Could it be a wild holly?

That is definitely not holly. Looks like the azalea family to me. Perhaps wild mountain laurel?

Looks like Yaupon Holly which grows in the eastern part of central Texas.

It could be Camphor laurel, {seedObsessed} does it ever get a berry, first green that purple. They become a tree if permitted.
