On a trip to London 10 years ago I brought back a Clematis vine. It was a special trip and the vine has much sentimental value to me.I planted it at a home I only use a few days a month. Last year life was crazy, I was lucky to have the grass cut. I just noticed a large poison ivy vine growing though the clematis. I am highly allergic to poison ivy. How do I get rid of the ivy without hurting the vine? This is a large clematis with the ivy interwoven throught it. I am afraid to use roundup for fear of killing the vine. Should I just cut the clematis to the ground? If so when is the best time?
