Just moved to Arizona mountain area a couple months ago, bought a house here using my fiance's VA loan after he retired from the military. I have ALWAYS loved plants and I am so excited to plant all the plants and pot all the inside plants I can manage! I already have quite a few; apple tree, peach tree, two pine trees, pomegranate bush, butterfly bushes, roses, petunias, agave, etc. That's just a few of the ones I have so far, there's also tons of peppers and inside plants in growing, too!

I'm super stoked to be here, can't wait to share plant stories and thrive together :D

My DH was in the Military for many years a pilot in the Vietnam conflict. Military life Iis a different lifestyle and many friends left behind . Moving to a new home and area is a big challenge and starting a garden at your new home will be a fun and fulfilling experience.
There are lots of gardeners around to share stuff … if and when you may need it. What garden zone ? I’m in 8b up in Oregon the northwest zone mariner zone.
You might want to look into xeriscape for landscaping ideas. Check with neighbors drive around and see what is working around the different neighborhoods . Garden centers are helpful offering plants that thrive in your zone. Whether it’s hardscapes or planning small vignettes in your garden your next journey will be exciting.

I've only spent brief times in Arizona, usually at the end of the hot season. Is the mountain area kinder on temps?
