Homemade Weed Killer With Epson Salt

When my friend Nancy posted a homemade weed killer on facebook, I was surprised epson salt was a ingredient. We have a thread how good it is for plants in the garden. Mixture called for 1 gallon vinegar, 2 cups epson salt and 1/4 cup dawn dish washing liquid.

I think it's mainly the vinegar that is the weed killer.

And the Dawn. I wouldn't spray that mixture in a bed I hoped to grow in. Maybe in sidewalk cracks...

Is rock salt the salt you use to melt ice on sidewalks?

Salt ... chemical formula is NaCl . only difference is any other particles that it may contain due to lack of or missed in cleaning and the size of the salt pieces.

Vinegar works great - but has to be strong. I've cut it by half and had so-so results.
