We have had such cold weather in Oregon that even my early peas have just now started blooming. Now this weekend we are expected to have temps in the 90's(go figure)

Should I cover the peas with shade cloth? Not sure that would help. I don't even have a single pea pod yet-just blossoms starting. They are snap peas.

My peas started to flower when we had a big heat wave, temps over the 90's for about a week and a half. They did fine. Some of the leaves did curl but we are still picking snap peas right now and temps have been over 100 some days.

I guess some shade cloth would help if you really want to make sure they're okay. Morning sun is good but afternoon shade could help them out a bit. And just make sure they are well watered.

Good luck!

I never have a problem with my peas. If they become dry, You can get them back on track by watering them. And unless the fruit is really dry, the pods should be ok.
