I broke a shoe lace

So I broke a lace an~ well, we have a box of shoes~some for work~some for other work``` I found a pair of shoes that were it the worst state of disrepair~ well beyond time to throw away and get a new pair~ and they had not been used for ages~ so I took the laces~ they were in good nic~ and tossed them in the trash```

Next~ I noticed~when passing the shoe box was this note```Daughter needs to practice her printing~ the "h" is not done well and I don't like the "n"```and her "P"s a leaning```

My dad lived though depression if I wanted to throw some thing away I bought it to a friends house

It is so difficult to throw things away~ we're all afflicted with the: it can be used for something or this belonged to ~or I'll fix it when I have time```

She had picked the shoes out of the trash and returned them to the shoe box and told me: You don't throw shoes away till you get the new ones!
