I haven't seen ONE Japanese Beetle this season

Saw a few a couple days ago for the first time.

yesterday a bright green beetle landed on my leg! that late afternoon we got rain !

Just saw them start arriving here, they're on my hibiscus and grape vines now. Not a whole lot, maybe a dz here and there. I'll squish a few when I have a moment!

They just started showing up here, and man are my chickens happy to see them! The funny thing is, they are sticking mostly to this weed with these weird little pink flowers instead of my flowers and veggies. I'll take it!

I used to use traps. Now, I grow 4 o'clocks in a hanging basket. They're toxic to pets, BUT the japanese beetles love to chew on the leaves and then...they die.

I was thinking the same thing, than BLAM I am seeing them on a few flowers, etc... I am sure more will follow

Saw my first one Thursday. Saw three more Friday. They are a tad late, but I fear they are here.

went out this morning and i just started to notice all the beetles in the yard. all week i've been working and really haven't had much daytime hours to take a thorough look around the yard.
