So, is it that the potting shed and coop share a common wall? Then there is a covered run for hens' comfort under the Tucson Sun?

Yep... The coop and potting shed are under a huge pine tree. so for most of the day they are both in the shade. Chickens don't do well in the direct sun here in the desert.

Such a pretty detailed chicken coop. I love it! You will like the new door far better than that pallet 'gate' you currently have on your potting shed.
