That's my experience as well. Unfortunately, we didn't know they were there until we walked on their hive, mowed over their hive, and uncovered their hive. Why they considered those activities needed defensive action, I don't know. At this time of year I suspect they are a bit more testy than usual as the mowed hive attacked me the next day and I was walking several yards away. That was just plain irritability, not defense.OldGuy43 said:
