Water and a medicine dropper.

Forgive me if this is common knowledge, but I had the trickiest time sowing the smallest of my seeds recently. Catnip, snapdragons, cherry tomatoes, poppies, etc.

They had been soaking in water overnight and the thought dawned on me of using a medicine dropper like this:

I squeezed the end, then put the dropper near the seeds and let go. Instantly, the nearby seeds got sucked up into the dropper with the water and then I simply squirted the dropper onto the desired spot.

It made the job a cakewalk.

Hmm, we maybe still have one around from when the girls were young. Now we can use it again, thanks for the tip!

Nice trick. Ya larn sumpin every day if pay attention. it should work great for seeds that have to stay on the surface. Those tiny little buggers always stick to my finger when I try to pat them down. The water should settle them down nicely.
