I Now Love Truck Restorer !!

This morning I got email from guy going to restore truck. He started it and when over engine, had a list of what needed to be done, My heart sank as I read list, then estimate $300 I hope he didn't forget a zero !!! Here you can't get some one to open hood for that.

Yeah, probably not a good idea to do handsprings about the bill in front of him.
If that is the correct price maybe all your trucks engine needs is a lot of minor repairs.

Engine is 60 years old ,some how minor repairs seem a pipe dream. Best i can hope for is he going easy on engine bill because of large body bill.

It does sound too good to be true. I'd call him in a couple weeks asking for that number again since you forgot to write it down.

Is it the original engine? Somewhere along the line it would have to have been replaced or rebuilt.
