Today I planted a camelia with my middle DD! There are some little strawberry plants still growing in this pot! I think they look cute!

Are you planning to keep it in that bright spot year round, or move it once summer heat picks up? Camellias usually appreciate morning sun with some afternoon protection.

I wish that they could do better here.

The same story with rhododendrons. If @Rhodie Ranch moved just a couple hundred miles east, she would have to change her name again :D.

Azalea probably work well over there. @annagracer1 , in Waco, I would be at loss to find any thing similar.

Nice choice, camellias are so rewarding once they settle in. The strawberry plants growing around the base look great too, that's a really good use of the space. As long as the pot's big enough they should be happy together for a while.
