Friends from city are coming up. Tomorrow we are going to local farm for pumpkins. Someone came up with idea of making pie in the afternoon. A good host always trys to fill a guest request, so one more try at baking. Fire and poison control numbers posted by phone. I am hoping at least one person in group knows how to bake. I am just happy to have day off

Once again @canesisters has educated us on where our food actually comes from!

Nyboy, go to the grocery store. Buy frozen pie crusts. Buy a can of pumpkin and a can of evaporated milk. The pumpkin pie recipe is usually on the can, use it to buy the other ingredients you will need. Give it all to your friends and get out of the kitchen.Go sit in your yard and drink wine.

Bay it is a little cold for that this time of year. We picked pumpkins such a nice day we ended up sight seeing in the Catskills.By time got back to house was to late. The pumpkins will now become Halloween decorations rather then pie.

Oops, sorry, no pics, but it sure is good. We had to sample it last night. I may have pumpkin pie for breakfast.

Pumpkin is a squash. Squash is a vegetable. High in fiber plus other good for you things. Dairy product has calcium which helps in bone structure. We should all have pumpkin in AM....
