Root Vegetables (onions, potatoes, carrots, parsnips, etc.) and those that make seed pods (tomatoes, beans, dill, peppers, etc.).

Sorry celery and leeks.

A friend of mine who lives in an apartment, grew spuds in a green garbage bag this year..Not a great yield, but I love the inventiveness..

Lettuce and kale. I cannot stand to eat lettuce from the store after eating my fresh from the garden and kale probably because I can get a lot of it and it is expensive. Hard to choose between kale and tomatoes.
